After your first year, you get 15 days each year if you attended at least 80% of working days, plus 1 extra day for every 2 years after the first year, up to 25 days. In the first year, you earn 1 day for each month with full attendance.

Who it applies to

Annual leave rules apply at workplaces with 5 or more employees. Smaller workplaces are not required to give it. Part-time workers with 15+ hours a week get leave in proportion to their hours (leave days × weekly hours ÷ 40 × 8 hours).

FAQ

Do unused days get paid?

Generally yes. Leave you could not use is paid as annual leave allowance, unless your employer formally encouraged you to use it in writing under the leave-use promotion system.

I signed exactly a 1-year contract. How many days?

11 days. Since a 2021 Supreme Court ruling and ministry guidance, the 15 days for the second year require you to work at least one more day after the full year.

Do first-year days expire?

First-year monthly days expire one year after you earned each day.
